My art journey started when I was quite young. I drew on every piece of paper I could get my hands on until I was finally given my own sketchbook. For the longest time, I did not consider myself an artist since I only drew cartoons from my imagination. It was only after I started taking art classes that I felt that drawing, painting, and creating in general was an endeavor–not merely a hobby–that I wanted to pursue. Now, I draw inspiration from nature, from things around me, and, yes, sometimes from cartoons, in the effort to tell their stories through artistic expression.
